Overview

The Information Technology (IT) Intern’s role is to provide a valuable IT learning experience for a college student while accomplishing work that adds value to Bosselman Administrative Services, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Provides “ownership” of assigned problems through final resolution.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and security of individual and company information.
  • Logs all activity in our IT Ticketing System. Responsible for tracking and closing tickets assigned. Accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Supports development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
  • Conducts research on computer products.
  • Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems.
  • Receives and responds to incoming calls, messages, and/or e-mails.
  • Constructs, installs, and tests customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
  • Liaises with third-party support when needed.

 

Additional Job Duties:

  • Complies with all Department IT policies and Company Policies.
  • Keeps all information and data confidential.
  • Enforces all company software and hardware standards.
  • Assists in other duties as assigned.

 

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

  • Must be working on a college diploma or university degree, preferably in the field of computer science or MIS.

  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches and ASAs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • On-call availability.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
