The Store Associate Under 19/Customer Service is responsible for stocking shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arranging merchandise displays to attract customers. The associate may perform any combination of light indoor/outdoor cleaning, stocking, and general duties to maintain the store in a clean and orderly manner.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive at work in a clean and proper uniform, and be clean and neat in appearance.
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner.
  • Insure all items are properly stocked and priced correctly.
    • No stocking or moving of Alcohol products (beer, liquor, etc.)
    • No stocking or moving of Tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, chew or any electronic nicotine/cigarette products, etc.)
    • Cannot use box cutters or knives.
  • Read and follow directions.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment.
  • Keep store neat and clean, inside and outside.
    • Cannot operate any industrial power equipment (Ex – trash compactor)
    • Cannot operate any gas-powered machinery/equipment (Ex – mower, weed eater, power washer)
  • Recognize problems and report them to management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with other people.
  • Communicate appropriately with customers and all company personnel.
  • Project a positive attitude.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Must observe all aspects of food operation compliance and handling/storage of product.  Complies with all food handling guidelines to meet or exceed state/federal regulations.
    • Cannot use box cutters or knives.
    • Cannot use blenders or mixers.
  • Ensure that all food products are stored properly and code dated with expiration dates.  Also ensure that all food products whether cooked or stored are held at proper temperatures.
  • Responsible for temperature testing food to ensure proper food safety and quality control.
  • Cannot complete the sale of any tobacco, electronic nicotine products, electronic cigarette products, cigars, chew, beer or liquor products.
  • Providing friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled with regular and consistent attendance.

  • Assisting in other duties, as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

  • Retail or guest service experience preferred.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and perform math skills.
  • Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
  • Must be well groomed and properly attired.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and any shift needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
