The IT Business Solutions Specialist provides advanced technical and analytical support to ensure stable, secure, and efficient technology across all business units. This position serves as a subject matter expert in IT business systems and service delivery, partnering with leadership to evaluate needs, design solutions, and implement best practices. The IT Business Solutions Specialist exercises independent judgment in vendor management, lifecycle planning, and procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the evaluation, selection, installation and implementation of IT business service solutions, including internet, telecom, security, and surveillance systems, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and budgets.
  • Provides technical oversight and guidance on escalated service issues, ensuring long-term solutions and process improvement rather than transactional fixes.
  • Evaluates new and existing services and providers, in an effort to manage operational costs and quality of service.
  •  Oversees the performance and service delivery of ISPs, telecoms, and other technology vendors; negotiates pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and billing disputes to ensure compliance and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensures service providers deliver on and are held to contracted service level agreements.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate billing and that pricing aligns with contracted rates, negotiates account credits and resolves late fees.
  • Responsible for hardware procurement and inventory management of IT assets within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
  •  Develops and maintains technology standards, procurement policies, and lifecycle management strategies for PC and printer assets.. Collaborates with IT leadership to plan and implement new systems, standards and policies, contributing to strategic technology roadmaps
  • Monitors SLAs and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for technology services and vendors; recommends improvements based on data analysis.
  • Designs and delivers user training and documentation to ensure proper utilization of systems and adherence to technology policies.  programs.
  • Maintains strong vendor and business relationships while exercising discretion in prioritizing projects and allocating resources.
  • Provides friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled. 

 

Additional Job Duties:

  • Provides “ownership” of problems through final resolution.
  • Complies with all department and company policies.
  • Enforces all company software and hardware standards.
  • Maintains confidentiality; ensuring information is handled discreetly and data protected.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or college diploma preferred, in the field of computer science or other related academic fields.
  • 2-5 Years of experience implementing IT solutions to support business processes and needs.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery.
  • Ability to communicate and manage relationships with external service providers.
  • Knowledge of service providers and service delivery models.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must have on-call availability.
